And it burned like a mother!! Ill admit I dropped the f-bomb. But after the pen was removed the pain went away pretty quick and the welts subsided quickly.

How quick did humira start working for you? And do you do two shots once a month or one every two weeks? I think I'm jut going to do one every two weeks.

After the loading doses it should be 1 every 2 Weeks. It varies as to how fast it starts working, but you need to give it a few months.

I just started my first of humira today. Four shots and two every two weeks. Did it fell weird also to yu when going in.. And yes it did burn.. I felt kinda dizzy after.. How about yu? How do yu fell know any side effects? :ysmile:

I did feel sort of weird for a couple of hours after. I was shocked by the burning, I was not expecting it to be that intense! I slept really well last night also.

I'm going to opt for the once every two weeks because I'm such a wuss! So far I haven't had any side effects. I read online that headaches were pretty common.

I wonder how soon it takes to work? I think I was having a little bit of a placebo affect this morning because I felt fantastic, better than in ages! Until this afternoon wherein I spent most of it in a stall at my work exploding. Better now tho :D

How are you feeling??

I felt a little weird to at first, I really couldn't sleep , today I feel fine .. So ill see .. Please keep me informed if yu notice and side effects our anything unusual... Thanks again...

Oh, that's funny yu say yu notice yu were in the the bathroom alot? I have notice today that alot .. Especially right after I eat..

Yeah me too. I'm thinking its just normal crohns issues. I hope that humira starts working soon!

Ugh that is a terrible side effect. I haven't had much in the way if side effects except I've had a hard time falling asleep lately.

On the upside, one of my abscesses has really subsided a lot. It's been there for months and I suspected it was becoming a fistula. But now it is the size of a pin tip. So it's going away hopefully.

How do you handle it? Tough it out or lots of coffee?

I'm really having a tough time since regular coffee has become more my enemy as has my regular colas and I was a real caffeine addict at one point without the humira. I'm forcing myself through somedays but others I just can't. I'm having some other problems as well. Arms and legs can feel like lead weights at times plus muscle and joint pain, multiple migranes (I go through a perscription a week of imitrex since starting the humira), constipation instead of diahria (which was extreme before) for the first 9 days then back to diahria the last 5 days. I have more nausea and bloating with the constipation. I have gone to all liquid as of this past monday. Due for another shot on Wednesday so we'll see if that is better.

I do take almost no prescription pain med for my belly pain since on humira, just tylenol. Does nothing for the muscle pain though. So I guess that is a plus. 6 out of the last 7 weeks have involved some foods that aren't normal due to the holidays and even though I skimped on them, I did taste them. So I want to see what happens the next 2 weeks.

Spoke to my doctors assistant thursday to schedule my appt for the 16th and she thought he'd take me off.... I don't know whether to or try and wait a while longer. I just finally am supposed to get off the Entocort on the 14th. I was on iv sulumedrol and antibiotics for a partial obstruction in september and have been on steroids ever since. Tapered the pred. while increasing the Entocort and then started tapering the Entocort when I started the humira.

My husband is most upset about my fatigue and wobbliness in my legs. It's caused many a fall in the am.

How are you dealing with the fatigue scaryman and do you have any other side effects?

TIA...

Yes I had lots of fatigue, every time inject I'm always out of it or tired. I've also had muscle pain joint pain. But most of my problems are related to exhaustion and tiredness. When I first went on humira with methotrexate ( MTX increases humira's effectiveness by 30%), I passed out at work. But I'm a little over my 1 month mark since by loading dose. A contact high up at NIH who looked over my medical records and labs said the tiredness a d fatigue is normal starting out and should get better. Basically they were right, I'm getting better at ganing injections. The only promised ever had with Humira is the tiredness and exhaustion basically the side effect to injection. I never had a problem with injection Panretin else it's just the side effects. Hope that helps- see If you guys can tough it out to the 1 month mark.
