I am currently in an active Crohn's flare and have developed fissures- like, a lot of them. They are like sun rays if you know what I mean. Now, they are going across the perineum and it seems I am actually getting the papercut- like fissures from the perineum upward onto the length my labia. Am I totally crazy? Could these actually be related to the Crohn's?! WTH? The doc gave me Analpram and started me on Uceris but it's been two weks and it it steadily getting worse. The only thing offering slight relief is A&D cream (yup, like the kind for diaper rash :/) and sitz baths, but neither lasts longer than 30 minutes.

Has anyone ever dealt with this? I am at my wits end trying to find relief!:sign0085:

So I've been dealing with anal and vaginal fissures now for too long. The Analpram that my GI prescribed only made it worse. I stumbled upon a forum that recommended coconut oil... I was desperate as it felt like my undies were made of glass shards. I bought an inexpensive, small jar, and put one teaspoon into a hot bath. Omg! What a difference! I soaked for 10 minutes or so, and it's been over 8 hours with NO issues! My body felt such relief in just a matter of minutes; it was awesome! I have been taking coconut oil caps orally for a few months and never gave a second thought about putting the actual oil in my bath. Crazy how little things work like that!
