flare or not

i seen dr. today. I told him of my burning bum and he looked and said its irritated and touse steriod cream which i've used before and doesn't help so i started the steriod enemas 2 nights ago. I told dr. and he said your not in a flare because you have no d or stomachaches. I told him yes i do get some stomachaches. He didn't say anymore. For me i do get d on and off. I am usually eating anything and i'll get d, then i cut down on foods and eat lighter and that usually helps. Does that mean i'm in a flare or not.

A flare up for me is when my stomache hurts like hell. It comes and goes every 5 minute. And at the same time i'm throwing up like there is no tomorrow. I begin to cry because i can't tolerate the pain. Trying to crawl to the toilet hoping i'd make it. NOw that's a flare up for me and that was two days ago.... It had me in the hospital.

I always have diarrhea so that's nothing new to me but it gets worse. I have pain most days but when I have a flare, I hurt so bad I can't stand it and end up in the hospital most of the time. And of course nausea and vomitting. I can tell you that the Dr's can tell you for sure if your having a flare by blood work and usually a CT. If you don't get any better see if they will do those for you.

Thanks for replies. Today stomach is slightly sore, but still having formed bm's. I hate the stomachaches, they can be on left or right, lower and by ribs. They kind ofmove around, but usually on left. I am so confused by what dr. said after my colonoscopy 2 1/2 weeks ago, he said my colitis is better than last time, which puzzled him, he seen some ulcers, and he wrote letter to family dr. and he said its resolving. What does all this mean, my biopsy results won't be in until next month. If my colitis is less then why am i slightlymore sick that when dx. in oct/07. Could it just all of a sudden go from mild to severe. Iam terrified of that. I'm stillnot treating it, only the steriod enemas. Dr. said to wait until results come back. That's like 1 month away, should i push him to treat me now. I know definetly my stomach is getting slightly worse.
