Flu Like Symptoms

I am being infused every 6 weeks with 10 mg and lately I have been getting flu like symptom about a week or so after my infusions. They do no seem to last very long but they do knock me for a loop.

Anybody else having issues like this???

Yes, I have had a runny nose and sneezing since I started Remicade and it's not even allergy season yet.

Thank you for your post. It just seems the longer I take Remicade the more suseptible I have become to colds and flu like symptoms not to mention all of the aches and pains associated with Crohn's.

those are all side effects of remicade and are very common.

Donk4263 - I also get the flu like symptoms, but they usually start about 2-6 hrs after my infusion and last about 12-24 hrs. My husband was also on a drug similar for his MS which gave him the same symptoms and his dr told him to try Thera-Flu to help, which it did help. My next infusion is tomorrow, so I will let you know if it helps and might be something to keep in mind.

Tried the Thera-flu after I got home, and it seems to help. All I really have is a headache right now.

yeh I get it a couple of hours after my infusion and lasts up to 6hrs. Told the nurse and she said not to be worried, another person there get it exactly 10days after every time lol.
