Hello, I am newly diagnosed but took a few months to get to the GI , so I have been doing a food diary for a while now.
However I am really struggling to find any patterns at all.

I don't really have any D reactions to go by.

My main symptom is pain ( that I now know to be small bowel inflammation) which is there all the time but does change in ferocity.

Second is pain which happens actually as I eat something and is always fierce.

Third is occasional sickness immediately after eating.

I am trying to work out what these things relate to in the diary but its hard.

Am I immediately sick because my stomach cant tolerate the thing I have just eaten, or is it a reaction to something I ate a few hours ago or even yesterday?

I have the same question about the pain I get whilst actually eating, a scope showed no inflammation or ulcers in my oesophagus or stomach, so why do I get such an immediate reaction. And should I really stop eating anything that hurts me as I eat or look at the things I ate previously for a culprit?

It's all very confusing :ybatty:

hi, i guess you feel sick because whatevers making you feel sick could be a trigger food for you and anything that is hurting you, you should try to avoid or have as little as possible because the more you have it, the more damage its going to do and make your symptoms worse, i hope this helped, sorry if it didn't

Hey Beach Bum,

I know in the past for me, during a flare up, it didn't matter what I ate. It just hurt. Some things you find hurt less than others, but sometimes it's just so inflammed that anything that passes is painful. And for me it was immediate too.
