I'm curious...for those of you who say that diet hasn't helped you, what dietary changes have you tried? How long did you try it? Did you cheat at all or did you follow the diet precisely? Did you have any outcome at all (did any of your symptoms improve, did they worsen, no change, etc). I'm very interested in learning about your experiences. I'm newly diagnosed and I've been following the SCD diet for about 3 weeks. I'm noticing a HUGE improvement. Not all of my symptoms have resolved, but enough to make me believe that diet plays a very large role for me.

Great start! I have been reading a lot of good things about SCD. I have been a big believer in the pH side of things. Maybe work on balancing out your pH too, but the SCD will naturally help aid in that.

I've been following a semi-scd diet as I can't eat yogurt and fruits really but I've been symptom and medication free for over 5 yrs. stick with it! Try supplementing hcl as I found that to be my miracle "missing link". Get food allergy and sensitivity tests done to even further fine tune your diet.

I don't follow any specific diet. But I've started a cleaner diet. I don't eat fast food anymore and i try to stay away from anything greasy. Greasy foods always made me sick. I eat lean protein, fruits, veggies and Greek yogurt, almond milk and i don't eat many bread products. Except maybe a piece of sprouted bread a couple times a week. Its improved my symptoms a lot.I've only been doing it for about two weeks now. but i went from having painful bowel movements to bowel movements that aren't uncomfortable and are better formed. I've had a reduction in mucus too. I exercise now too which i think is helping with the bm's. I have another egd and scope coming up and hope to find out how im doing with my crohn's.
