going back to work

hi wish me luck as i am going back to work on Friday after 13 month off.but sods law am starting with a lot of pulsing pain in my lower back when i go to the loo never had this before so am a bit concerned that i am starting to flare again only had surgery in march and feel i cannot go through that again. sorry just feeling a bit sorry for my self and pissed off with it all

well i did my first shift yesterday my job is quiet active as i am a care assistant looking after the elderly.well today i feel like i have been hit by a train every bone in my body hurts and i am on duty in the morning just hope i can do this as we so need the money

I understand the need for money as well. it took me awhile before I would agree to take some time off to recooperate. I hope you start feeling well soon. I am not looking forward to starting back to work with this mess!

i have had to admit defeat i cannot do my job i feel like death warmed up.i am so down at the moment about this and so sick of being at home on my own all day and every day.i cannot see the point in anything at the moment

I take it you were on sick leave (you didn't just start a new job?). If so they should be able to offer you a phased return to work, like just the mornings for a while. Then you wouldn't be on your own all day but hopefully it wouldn't wear you out so much. Or would you be allowed to do voluntary work e.g. Sorting donations at a charity shop, that way you could do as much or as little as you felt able on that day.
