Hair loss!!!!!

Hi there, my 10 year old son hair been having Methotrexate injections for about 6 weeks. I have noticed that his hair is coming out when it's washed etc, is this likely to continue as long as he's on it?

My daughter has only been on mtx 3 weeks but had hair loss prior so yes they warned us this is a side effect and that it would reverse if/when mtx was stopped.

My son has been on Mtx for exactly three months today. He is still losing some hair. Hate it, but thankfully he has a full head of thick hair and needs it cut badly!

Thanks guys, I just don't want him to have bald patches or ,God forbid, lose all his hair, especially when he's actually doing quite well at the moment.

I hear ya sista! O has patches and is doing the comb over trick:lol2: Will only work so long though. I keep trying to get her to get a pixie cut as I think it would be less noticeable. Unfortuantely she doesn't have a lot of hair to begin with and what she has is thin, fine and pin straight.:ymad:

My son lost hair for the first few months on mtx but then it stopped. He has been on it for a year and a half and his hair seems to have returned to normal now.

I hate that! . We haven't had the hair loss side effect. Been on MTX almost 2 yrs.
