My teenage son has Crohn's disease and follows the Specific Carbohydrate Diet - with great success! But we've come across this new product (pasta and rice) that we're not sure about, but perhaps has potential. I inquired about the actual content and they replied saying: "The raw materials used are just water, plant fiber which is from root of a plant called konnyako imo and calcium additive which are all vegan. " Has anyone heard of it before, is it good and do you know if it follows the SCD?

I saw these special fibre noodles in a health shop one day, but I don't think they were called that. They were advertised as calorie free.... I'm sort of afraid to try them as I'm not good with fibre.

Miracle noodles are almost nothing but fibre, - zero carbs, zero fat
great for weight loss but no nutritional value.
I doubt it would be good for crohn's, wikipedia says they are known as the "broom of the intestine" in Japan eeeeewwwwwww!
Maybe you can find spaghetti squash instead?
