So it's official - Lucy has failed infliximab fissures are worse than they were a month ago. GI now moving to humira and methotrexate anybody done this switch and if so did it work? So sick of crohns at this stage 2 years since Lucy was diagnosed and still no remission and she's still only 4 - this is too much for such a little girl.

I'm sorry to hear that the inflixamab didn't work. I hope the Humira and MTX work their magic and get your little girl into remission. ((HUGS))

Humira is working for Alex, with 6mp helping to boost it. But Remicade worked for him too, until he built antibodies. Hope your daughter gets some relief soon.

Humira alone for DS after reaction to remicade but remicade worked for him.
Jury is still out on whether humira is "working" for him .
He has only had one dose so ....
Too early to tell

I hope everything works out!

However, for myself, When I moved to Humira, it didn't work. I started on the standard dose and was bumped up to 80mg per week with 25mg injectable methotrexate.(2 of those horrible humira needles a week? Worst thing ever....) It just seemed to have no effect unfortunately. I had allergic reactions and wasn't responding well to remicade so my GI wasn't to hopeful with Humira to begin wih. There is always that possibility for your daughter I'm sad to say :( If you have anymore questions, just ask!

On the bright side, I am in the last leg of a trial drug and it worked almost instantly. I've never felt this well in 6 years! The trial is closed now but should be on the market in a year or so. Its called "Vedolizumab".

Heaven forbid Humira doesn't work for your little girl, there are so many drugs in the pipe lines and I believe there is bound to be one that will work for her.

Sorry to hear the infliximab didn't work. I hope the new combination works so you can both have a break from the worry and symptoms!

Hugs to you both. We tried Humira when Remicade failed. Remicade for a year and a half. Humira for about nine months. We are trying Stelara now. Hope you have more success with Humira.

Ask your doc about reducing pain when giving the injection. That was the worst part for Gus.
