Hell folks

I got diagnosed with Crohns about 2 years ago.
I had an internal watchyum'callit, they also said i had an ulcer.
In the iliem? Is that what you call it?

Anyway, 7 weeks of steroids starting with 7 per day and wrking dwn.
Boy oh by d they have the weirdest side effects.
The best way to put it is to say you are full of energy and totally knackered at the same time...like their is 2 bdies and minds inside of you.
Very odd.

Guess what, it didnt work, neither has pentassa and various other drugs.

I always had problems since i was a young man, but it was condered IBS then.

Im seriously looking at diet and herbs now.

Drink yarrow tea everyday, as this is a well know scientifiically proven herb with lots of dfferent medicinal purposes, including anti inflammatories.
However, the anti inflammatory property of yarrow has cured my asthma, but unfortunately, never effected my crohns.

Hi Clutha, sorry to hear your having a rough time. Afraid I'm not sure what a "internal watchyum'callit" is?? Do you mean Colonoscopy, Barium Enema? Ileum is the final section of the small bowel & ulcers there are typical of Crohns.
Diet especially low fiber diet can be very helpful when Crohns is active, herbs-wouldn't discount it but IMO you need to go back to your specialist. There are other drugs out there besides Steroids & Pentasa.
There is plenty of info on here in the treatment section, above all welcome to the forum & hopefully you'll soon feel better.

Hi and welcome! I am sorry you haven't found a treatment plan that has worked yet. Have you and your doctor discussed what's next as far as medication? Diet, supplements, and other alternative treatments can help symptoms, but traditional medication seems to be the best way to get Crohn's under control and keep it in check.

I hope you find a treatment plan that works for you soon and you start to feel better.

HI clutha welcome the forum, i am sorry the meds didn't work. hopefully between you and your doctor you can find the right combination that will work for you. Good luck on the herbs thing. best wishes.

hello guys

their have been several meds so far.
i cant remember what they were called, i ended up binning most of them.
they were either no use whatsoever or just gave me diarrhaoe, which kind of defeated the object really.

i gave up on the doctor a while back.

im meant to go to a specialist anyway.
i think diet is the answer.
