Sorry I havent been around much. I have been doing lots of work with La Leche League and enjoying the hell out of summer.

I would like to report that I am still in full remission since starting remicade in March. I stopped taking Immuran a couple months back because it gave me headaches. I have zero side effects from remicade. Infusions are a breeze. I just feel a little tired the next day and thats it. I can fight off illness just as good as my husband. So everything is good there.

Just thought I would pop in, and say hi. My husband and I are trying to have a baby. I have had 3 early losses and just realized I should get checked for antibodies that may be interfering with my ability to stay pregnant. I guess people with autoimmune disease are more likely to have Lupus Anticoagulant Antibodies, which can interfere with staying pregnant. It could totally be chance too, but I want to rule that out before I suffer any more losses.

Hi Lydia,

Thanks for the update! Great to hear you are still in remission, YAY! I hope things continue to go well for a very long time. I'm sorry about your difficulties with pregnancy..... I wish you all the luck in the world that it turns around for you..........

Hi Lydia - So glad to hear you are doing well! It's always great to hear positive stories and tales of remission.

Best wishes for continued good health. I'm very sorry to hear about your pregnancies, but sincerely hope you are able to try again and with success.

I always enjoy your posts - stop back in from time to time! - Amy

I am happy you are doing well on your treatment. It is weird how one treatment can work good for one person, and terrible for the next, and vice versa.

Good luck on having a baby. I think Dr. Burt Berkson's wife had a problem bringing a baby to term, and it required some surgical procedure. Sorry I do not remember more about it. I did read something about it on the web. There are many reasons this can happen. It may be unrelated to the problem your having.

Yeah Dan, this disease is such a huge mystery.

I dont get the pregnancy thing. I was in a drug free state of remission when I got pregnant with my daughter though. I had a wonderful healthy pregnancy. Things are different this time around as my remission is medically induced. It may take me quite a bit longer. Also I was flaring pretty bad in the middle of that year for few months. Not surprisingly I never got pregnant when I was ill.

Glad things are going well for you Lydia!! Good luck with having another baby!! You sure made one beautiful girl with Lilly there:)!!
