help eating bigger portions

Hello all. Just like the title says, I'm getting frustrated with the small portions my stomach lets me eat. Diet/weight loss in not really an issue, I'm underweight and pretty much eat what I want whenever I want and can't gain a pound. However, I cannot eat a decent sized meal to save my life. For example, I went out to dinner with some friends and I ordered a burger and fries (nothing record setting, 1/4 pound burger and side of fries) and I'm lucky to finish half of it before I feel extremely full. I can't remember the last time I finished my plate in a restaurant, and I go in feeling pretty hungry.

At home, My plate is about half as full as my roommates, and their no competitive eaters, and I'm lucky to finish that.

However, my problem isn't really loss of appetite. I get hungry pretty frequently throughout the day. I eat breakfast, lunch, a snack or 2, dinner, and then usually another snack before I go to sleep.

Am I crazy for thinking this? I enjoy food, and it's getting frustrating that I can't eat more of the delicious meals I eat.

I've always eaten less than those my age. In fact, I still more than likely do and am underweight as well. One thing that might help is adding little amounts of food at a time to your meals. The adding could either be each day, once a week or once every other week. If you start not feeling good, you can always dial back to where you were before. This is what I've been told to do before when I've mentioned wanting to be more of a healthy weight. Hope this helps some.
