Hi Lilbellatonya,
Sorry you have had such a battle. It is a really difficult illness to deal with!

It seems that your main problem at the moment is constipation. Do you ever take laxatives or stool softeners? Perhaps a dose will get you moving again. You can get advice about which is the best one for you from the pharmacist, or your doctor. Many people take things for constipation and get quick relief.

Asacol doesn't usually cause constipation (though it is possible with high doses.) It is a very mild drug for treating Crohns. You probably need stronger meds to get your illness under control. A maintenance drug like 6mp or Humira may be required - please speak to your Gastro specialist! There is a lot they can do for you.

I hope you can get some relief soon. Welcome to the forum.

One thing I have found particularly helpful in stoppage situations is drinking hot teas, or hot water....belly rubs...it warms the belly and will get things moving. You can use a warm hot water bottle as well.

Hello and welcome. I agree about taking something to get this moving again, I would say go for a more gentle approach (either what mickey said or a softener rather than full blown laxative) as you don't want to then go the other way where you cannot get off the loo. Whilst doing this I would get onto your GI/IBD nurse as clearly your current treatment is not really getting things sorted. Hang in there and let us know how you get on.

If your not passing gas then you should go back to the hospital because you could have an obstruction
I know exactly how you are feeling my surgeon calls me the ileus queen
Also sounds like you need a stronger course of treatment asacol did nothing for me neither did imuran or entorcort as of now I have reluctantly agreed to let them put a port in me and do remicade infusions
My point is your not the only one I know how you feel but seriously you need to see your doc and discuss more aggressive treatment options
