My appt is at 8 am.
After all my readig tonight I am a little (alot) freaked out.
I need some dental work done should I wait or delay my Remicde?
Although my next thought is surely if you are on Remicade for an
extended period you will need dental work done at somepoint.

Maybe my next thought should be STOP reading the scary stuff!

Thank you in advance for any answers/advice posted my way!

I cant see why you would need to delay it (unless its on the same day), just make sure you tell your dentist that you are on it and its an immnusuppressant. Ive had fillings and no problems with it

Hey Lauren. Best of luck with your appointment. Yes, stop reading the scary stuff and focus on the success stories :) I know it's hard not to be nervous, but Remicade has done wonders for so many of us here, including myself.
Let us know how you get on x

Half way through so far so good.
No wonder they say your tired.
Benedryl and zyrtec I will sleep for 24 hrs

Thanks
Lauren

Try not to freak out too much. It's easy to focus on the bad stories you hear and to miss all the great success stories. I've been on Remicade for a year now, wow the time flew by, and I've been in remission for approx. the last 6 months. You have to remember what your life is like during a flare-up and recognize the possible side-effects of Remicade are far better than the side-effects of uncontrolled Crohn's/UC.

I sailed right through my Remicade treatment today.
The only problem I had was my blood pressure went up.
Ofcourse when she started it I was sure I could feel chest pain,
my throat swelling etc.....

Tonight I did have horrible cramps and diarrhea. Was not prepared
for that. I am sure it was not a result of the Remicade though. Just
that ugly CD reminding me it thinks its the boss still!! Not for long I say!!

Thanks for all the words of encouragment!

Glad to hear it well :) Do you have the next in two weeks? Some people feel better almost immediately, others it takes a few infusions before they feel the benefits.
