Just found you guys this morning. A little about me, I am 34yrs old, diagnosed with severe Crohn's Disease in 2003 (needed a bowel resection that same year). Been on so many drugs I have forgotten them all, currently taking Humira every other week for about a month and a half with NO results :(
For pain: MS Contin 30mg/12 hrs and Vicodin 10/660mg for in between pain.
Possibility of needing another resection in the future if I do not respond to treatments.

Welcome Jason. Sorry to hear that the Humira isn't working. Hopefully the resection isn't needed.

Hi Jason and welcome!

It's my understanding that Humira can take a while to kick in - like up to 3 months. Have you and your doc discussed going to once a week? That's usually the next step for Humira.

I know the thought of surgery is overwhelming, but perhaps it's a good option to make you feel better and give you remission.

Hang in there and give the Humira just a little more time.

Hi Jason! As Amy said, it may take Humira a bit longer to kick in. But I sure hope it starts working soon and you start feeling better. Hang in there!

Hi jason! I take pain meds daily too, same dose as you! And I also just started Humira, I am getting my 2nd dose on Tues. In the meantime they have me on prednisone also, which I hate!! If you read my siggy you can see that I've been on lots of meds too so it seems like we are similar places with this disease!

Hi welcome :)

Like others have mentioned Humira can take a bit for it to kick in. Some doctors put you on a combo med to help with the time waiting. Sometimes even after a combo therapy is needed.
