Hi All
I have just signed up after stumbling accross your site - and I am so pleased I have - I finally feel that I am not the only one out there
For the past year or so I have been having really intense pain on the lower right hand side of my stomach, to the point where I could be in bed and cough or roll over and I would get the worst stabbing pain which completely paralyses me for a few minutes. (as I have also had problems with fertility and gyni stuff- I thought it was cysts - but a scan showed nothing there).
I also get the long bouts of cramps and lots and lots of bloating -constantly consipated for 2 or 3 days at a time, but then have bouts of diaorreah. (I can put on / and loose over half a stone in a day)
Sometimes when I eat, I get what only feels like appendicitus where I end up rolling about the floor for an hour doubled up in agony to the point where I could easily call an ambulence.
Finally went back to see my GP and had some bloods taken etc -waiting results
Had a colonoscopy last week - which was an experience - I dont think much came out of it - and it didnt hurt till the camera reached the lower right hand side, where I normally get the pain (cepum I think its called) and I nearly jumped off the bed - begged them to stop as it was that painful. For the rest of the week I had terrible aches and pains that just would not go away.
Now I have the pleasure of a small bowel MRI with Berium this week.
Is it me, or do you sometimes feel that as nothing has yet to be diagnosed, that maybe its all in my head! Very frustrating and sick of being in so much pain Just want to get this sorted, whatever it is, as for such an active sporty person, who cant even run anymore - its ruining my blinking life.
