I am newly diagnosed. My first visit to the GI was over a year ago, but he though he was just battling a case of recurring c. diff. After being on dificid, I am finally c. diff free, but feeling worse than ever.
For the past month I have been dealing with awful cramps and needing to go to the bathroom. When I am in there I cramp more and strain painfully, usually only getting a little out. My GI first put me on Entocort but after a week of no response switched to prednisone.
I have been on prednisone for 3 days now, and thought I was getting better, but last night was another sleepless night spent running to the bathroom and taking baths to relieve the pain from going so much.
How much longer should I wait to see if prednisone is going to work?
