How long did it take for humira to work?

I also wanted to chime in that when I was on Remicade, I kept waiting for it to help me and ended up in the hospital because it never did. So, if you feel it isn't helping your daughter, be aggressive about it. I'm sure you know that already and to do your best to make sure she gets the care she needs.

Also, what's her dosage at? I get 40mg every week.

I had a wonderful experience on humira, I was really sick, in the hospital for 5 weeks before I started it and I went into remission within a month. I know that is rare for that to happen, but it did and I stayed in remission for over 3 years after that

Thanks for the replies.

The GI said no food for Grace for two weeks. We're hoping to give bowel rest a chance to calm things down.

I'm hoping humira and mtx will work better if we give it time.

Farmwife,

the few times that I had really bad flares and ended up in the hospital my doc saved me from the surgeons by cutting off all food. He said that my insides needed to reset. No other doctor agreed but that's what we did, and it worked.

Best of Luck and hugs to Grace!

Great to hear, in a sad way, that it helped you. I'm hoping the same.
Grace has a feeding tube implanted (g-tube), times like this I'm so thankful for it. I can't even stomach the smell of her formula.
