I have been having something bugging me for over a week now. Seems longer than normal. Nothing has changed with meds or diet, just constant pain and many trips to the Can. Is there something you do that maybe helps yours stop hurting?

Alcohol, plenty of it...

kidding!

Depending on your level of pain maybe you should call your GI and ask him what he recommends.

Personally, when the pain is bad a hot bath does it for me. But if the pain is there more than it isn't, you can't spend your life in the tub.

My flare ups seem to last longer than my remissions sometimes.
When I'm running for the toilet 10 times a day for a few months, well, that just sucks. Even when it's partially controlled or a mild flare, it's still not normal.

over a year.

Since dx, many of us have spent more time flaring than not, like Butt Hurts said.

Not been right for about 18 months. Hasn't been constantly horrible, but I can tell something's been going on in there. Gradually been getting better, though, and now I'm beginning to notice that my clothes are getting looser - not from losing weight, but the fact that my belly isn't constantly swollen. Rather ironically, I think I started to get better when I broke my ankle... I was off work for a while and having a relaxing unstressful time... the lack of exercise didn't help though!
