Hi Folks,
I'm new to the site. I was diagnosed two years ago and have been on Asacol up until this summer when things started to go downhill. Since August I have lost about 25 lbs. and feel terrible. I am on my Asacol still, Prednisone, painkillers, Xanex (to control the feelings I get from the Prednisone) Aciphex for the GERD, and I have had two infusions of Remicade now.
It has not worked yet. My question is, how long before the Remicade kicks in. I am a police officer, and although my main job is public relations, the last thing anyone wants (or needs) is someone on Prednisone and painkillers running around with a gun. I'm not, I have been off, but is there a specific time period where Remicade starts to work?
