How long to hold retention enema?

Hey, pretty new to this. Was recently prescribed Asacol foam enema, I've been on the Salafolk ones for about a week but I was told it was the same stuff so didn't really worry. Anyway, been having a tougher time with these Asacol ones, long story short I just can't seem to hold them in as long, some nights they seem to come out straight away. My usual time of holding them in at the moment is about an hour before I need to go. Is this enough time for the medicine to work do you think, I was told you get enough from the salafolk ones by retaining them for about half an hour. Is that true? If so is it the same with these asacol ones? Oh it's 1 g once a night btw, in case that makes a difference. Amy help would be great
