How many days till hospital

How many days of D should I wait before I go to hospital. My GP gave me Prednisolone but this time its not working. I have been flat out for nearly a week and had D on and off in between taking D meds (which dont really work) and now I am getting a bit worried.

Should I just go to hospital or see if it gets better? I cant go on like this but dont want to bother people or be in a grotty hospital.

Don't know the answer to that. But my consultant told me to phone his secretary if I have any weird symptoms... just say I have Crohns and he will get to see me asap. I've done this once, but that was due to excessive bleeding rather than constant D.
Are you able to contact your consultant and get in on the next clinic?
If you have any doubt, just get to the hospital... I wouldn't worry about bothering people, it's their job!

I think that it depends on your level of hydration and how you're feeling, it's really a personal thing. If you are concerned then I suggest contacting your GI and getting in to see them asap. Like Steve said, you're not bothering people, you have a serious disease and it's their job to help you.

Sorry you are not to good at the mpment, If the meds are not helping I would seek further medical advice, wether its your GP or A&E room. Dont let yourself get dehydrates. Hope you feel better soon. Peggy

Go back to your GP. Tell him/her what's going on and you are worried you're not getting better. You are ill, you are the very person they are there for!

Thanks for all your help. Im still at home but dont think the D is going to give up. So im fed up but still standing.
