How to know if Entocort is working

I started taking Entocort (9mg/day) a couple weeks ago after my first consultation with my GI doc. He wanted to make sure any extra inflammation in my ileum was taken care of before I get my first colonoscopy.

I finally set my colonoscopy for next Tuesday, but I'm wondering how do I know if the Entocort is "working?" I've had some mild discomfort and/or extra digestive gurgles (haha!) after eating certain things (sloppy Joe's, fried tofu), but no real pain like before I went into the hospital. Maybe a bit more gassy after certain foods. Is that normal?

I've been trying real hard to avoid certain foods like corn, beans, fruits/veggies with hard skins, nuts, and anything with seeds, but every once in a while I introduce new things to my diet that I haven't eaten in a while but I think are still "safe." So, maybe it's just my body readjusting to foods it hasn't digested in a while?

I'm still not familiar with what symptoms to look for with Crohn's. I've always thought a little indigestion/gas was normal, but maybe I should be more concerned? I worry that the Entocort isn't working (perhaps I'm just paranoid) and maybe I should still be eating only Jell-o and pudding! Haha.

Thoughts/opinions/advice?

I think if you are having pretty good relief of your "bad" symptoms, the Entocort is probably helping....The longer you have Crohn's, you will find that your abnormal symptoms are normal for us<<<Gosh, does that make sense?
I hope you go into a remission like status quickly.

I'd say you will know if you feel better on the entocort. I think once there has been some stuff going on in there our digestion will never be 'normal' even when everything is essentially fine.
