Humira and Estrogen Pill

Has anybody had any experience with the Humira injections and an estrogen pill? I am on 2mg of Estradiol and noticed that my pre-estrogen symptoms seem to have returned (emotional, hot flashes). I just started Humira almost two weeks ago and getting ready to have my second set the end of the week so I don't know that if the symptoms that I am experiencing are from that or if the Humira is indeed interferring with my Estradiol.

Any thoughts or stories?

I'm on estrogen and don't have a problem. Wouldn't have thought it would interfere. If you are still producing some of your own estrogen fluctuating levels might override the pill and give you symptoms, I guess.

Stopped Estrogen while on Humira

My experience isn't the same as yours, but I think Humira helped cause my problem. I had been on low dose Prempro for years. Prior to taking Humira, I was taking one pill every other day. It was enough to stop the hot flashes and sleepless nights. About 5 weeks after I started Humira, I had spot bleeding about every 4 or 5 days, then it started happening every day. I had an ultrasound, and it showed nothing. After consulting with my OB-Gyn, I stopped Prempro and the bleeding stopped also. I think that the combination of Humira and Prempro caused the bleeding, but I can't know for sure.

I take bc pills which have Ethinyl Estradiol, never had any interaction with Humira and the combo has not given me any reduced effectiveness of either 2 drugs. But then again, even though birth control and hormone replacement have similar estrogens, they are meant for 2 different things so that could be why I am not having the same symptoms. But still, I would not expect such an interaction.
