Hello,

This is my first post here. I have been on Humira for 6 weeks now for crohn's and arthritic low back/hip/knee pain. It seems to be helping my crohn's but not for my back! I have had this back pain constant for a year straight if this Humira does not start helping me soon I will go INSANE!!! In the past year I have been to all different doctors had MRI's, xrays, steroid injections, physical therapy and nothing has helped. It is so depressing to feel like you are a 90 year old trapped in a 30 year old's body :( Has anyone had a similar experience like this and WHEN DOES HUMIRA START WORKING?!

Hi Ralagna5,

First of all welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find this a friendly place with people who have a sympathetic ear. Why not take the time to tell us a little bit more in a "your story" post?

I've been on Humira for the last 18 months or so, weekly doses since last summer. My fistula has improved, but is still a constant feature of my life. For quite a while I've been experiencing pain in my left thigh and the base of my spine. The Humira does not seem to have helped with this pain. A couple of weeks ago I had MRI scans of the Sacroiliac joints and lower back, but don't have the results yet. Constant pain is the biggest drag for me, so I appreciate how you feel. I have had some improvement in the pain in my thigh after starting Amitriptyline a month ago. Have you asked if there is more your Doctors can do in terms of pain management whilst they try to get to grips with the underlying cause?

I wish you well in your search to an answer to your problems.

Mark

I have the same back pain...never had it before starting Humira 12 weeks ago. I wish I knew how to help you sort it out!

I hope you feel better soon!!!
