Hello, this is my first post on the Crohns forum. I've been using the Humira pen for almost a year and a half. Sometimes when I inject into my thighs the Humira seems to create a bubble just beneath the skin. When I press on or around the injection site it sounds like suran wrap and I can feel liquid or air being pushed around beneath the surface.
Last time this happened it was because I was injecting too close to my knee, my doctor had a nurse come to my apartment and show me, again, how to do the injection. I needed to inject much higher up on my thigh. After this had been happening for a while I had a flare up and when I told my doctor about it he said that the Humira probably wasn't being absorbed by the body the way it's supposed to when it's getting trapped in between layers of the skin.
I'm wondering what to do since I feel like I'm doing everything the way they showed me. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Does anyone have any advice?
