My daughter arrived in Florida to work for Disney 4/5 weeks ago. Her first time away from home. She was delayed in Jfk without access to ice and according to her thermometer her Humira got to 10 degrees...3 pens. Said they were still cold. She packed it with ice as soon as she was on the plane and temps were good from there.

She is beginning to get pain so could the Humira not be working properly or just the fact that she is there working hard for the first time, playing hard and probably not eating right. She has an appointment with a gi in 2 weeks but has this idea that it's only her gi at home that is any good.

Humira can be at room temp for up to 14 days but must be used within that14 days
Once they are at room temp
Did they get too cold ?
We use a wireless thermometer in the cooler when we travel (app on the phone to track temp
)
Humira can not go below 36F
Must stay between 36F to 46F
It can be at room temperature within 1/2 hour outside of the refrigerator

Stress of a new country /job etc...could make things worse

She used a wireless thermometer and they didn't go below 2c. She wants to come home but I'm trying to reassure her that the gi will know how to help. Unfortunately she is a glass half full kind of kid, stubborn with a can't be bother attitude at times....

Fingers crossed she is ok and feels better once she is at the gi.

Humira could takes time (months) to work properly, so give it time if she just started
New environment and work could be stressful so cause pain and disconfort in the gut.
I'd not conclude anything. Be sure she get her inflammatory markers monitored regularly and see how it evolve
