Humira side effect/allergy??

I had my 2nd loading dose on monday, and for the past 4-5 hours my skin feels like there is something crawling on it. My nerves are firing and its starting to get worse and painful. I would feel like this the night of my Remicade infusions except that was a lot worse. Im wondering if this is an allergy that is just taking a little while to present it self?? I also have little red dots on my elbows. When I was on Remicade they gave me benadryl before the infusion, is this something that I should be doing with Humira as well?? Thanks

My son takes benadryl an hour or so before his H and then again the next morning. He had itching and redness around the injection site only. I'd say it's worth a try though. Good luck!!

Yeah, you can certainly have benadryl or another anti-histamine if you are getting a reaction. Given you've had Remicade previously it would be a very good idea to contact your doctor, or specialist nurse if you have one, before you have your next injection.
