I have just been to see my Gastro and he is advising me to start this drug. I have tried azathioprne and mercaptopurine but I am allergic to both and they have caused me horrible flu side affects with vomiting. I'm concerned about this jump to these drugs as I've heard of the horror story risks such as development of multiple sclerosis. Can I just ask if there are any alternatives to humira after aza or mercaptopurine as I feel I'm taking a huge step up here. I have heard about methotrexate or other infusion drugs but I have no idea if they have neurological risks aswell.

You could ask about remicade. There is a new drug called Entyvio. I think its been approved in the UK.
