Ok I had my 4 loading doses of Humira....I was sooooo scared but I kept thinking of all my friends here on the forum that go thru alot more than me. Thank you all so much...I really appreciate it. I have been going thru some depression and anxiety lately and Crohn's is so scarey to me. Coming here helps me. I just hope it works... :)

Congrats! Hopefully it starts working for you soon! Although it can take up to 12 weeks...

I started in September and haven't had any effects yet :( not sure why I still take it, double the time it was supposed to have worked by, but the doc knows best I guess!

Good luck with the Humira! Are you using the pen or syringe? I started with the pen, but now use the syringe. I find it less painful and I can control the rate of injection. If you are on the pen, I suggest you give it a try once you are used to injecting yourself.

Feel better!

Good for you! Over coming the fear is so hard! I was terrified, I mean lying on the bed, crying like a two year old, scared of injecting myself. After I did it, I was like, oh. I hope it works well for you!
Michele :)

Way to go, Mary! I hope you get relief and remission soon!

I hope it works for you! I remember the first time I gave myself an injection with the syringe... I looked up videos on youtube of people doing it and I put in my mouthguard so I would have something to bite down on! :ylol2:

That's great. I am at 6 weeks on it and it has really helped my bowel and peri-anal issues. I REALLY hope this gives you the relief you so desperately need and deserve.

Beth

Hi Mary! Great to hear from you - and so glad you went ahead with the Humira! That is great!

Sit tight because it could take a while to kick in, but I hope you start to get some relief sooner rather than later!!

Congrats to you for overcoming your fear! Take care of yourself -Amy
