I paid to have a private food tolerance test, whilst I wait for my appointment to St. Thomas's in London.

I have been told I am intolerant to Dairy, Wheat, tomatoes, Chocolate, Orange, Cucumber, peppers, strawberrys, grapes, Cola, and wine!

I have already been cutting milk out of my diet as I had already linked this to pain and constant D.

I will let my consultant know about these results, do any of you guys have this test done? I am aware that this is going to be a life change but if this helps I am up for this!

Would be interested to hear from you guys with any advice please!

heck, that's a big list!

i'd say the dairy and wheat elements are going to be the hardest to find substitutes for... the others can just be avoided without too much hardship i guess.

i'm not aware of any direct food intolerances of my own, (allergic to loads of meds tho), but i have had to cut quite a few things out of my diet because they seem to upset me. i've never been a milk lover, so if i have cereal i have yoghurt on it... the health food shops do some nice non-diary yoghurts.. they also have soya milk etc... as you're in the UK, you could try phoning or visiting Holland & Barrett and see what they recommend regarding the foods you're intolerant to.

also, you could get yourself a bread-maker and do your own non-wheat breads - makes the house smell gorgeous too :D

That is a pretty big list! Mine came back with just tomato as being positive but I find dairy makes my asthma a lot worse so I cut that out anyway.

I wonder if you can be referred to a dietician? A complete replacement liquid diet like the Elemental I had might give you a chance for everything to calm down and when you restart solid food you'll be so grateful everything will taste soo nice :)
