I have an active fistula that is draining out beside my stoma, I have no appetite, i'm in so much pain i can't move, im very weak. I'm trying to stay hydrated but im fighting nausea. I'm staying on a liquid diet hoping that will help heal the damn fistula. I AM SO TIRED!!
Diagnosed with CD at 16yrs old in 2006. Colostomy in 2008, Revision in Sept. 2011 due to a fistula that was draining out a wound i had developed next to my stoma. Back at the end of Sept. this year I went to the ER because i thought i was developing an abscess or fistula next to my stoma again. they did an X-ray which showed nothing, so they did a CT scan. That only showed inflammation. So i was sent home on 60mg Prednisone to take for 7 days. day 6 of 7 i saw my primary care physician (PCP) and he set me up with the taper i got ensure shakes "prescribed" to me and i also asked for a referral to see a nutritionist. i saw my GI on the 16th of Oct. i suggest we try increasing the dose of Humira im at 1x/week. then He wants a Colonoscopy done so the 22nd I drive another 60 miles to the Portland hospital. My GI didn't find anything in the colonoscopy.. which was very frustrating because i was hurting... and not even 3 days later it finds a path out beside my stoma.
I don't want to go into surgery again.. :/

Man, what a story. You've obviously been through so much. I'm so sorry
