I've been sick for 9 months, started getting treatment in October but still can't work. They only put me on Lialda 2x a day 1.2 grams each and a probiotic. I have no health insurance I got a free FULL bottle from the doc office along with samples. I lost my job and quit college because I've been going through hell with this........why am I only on one medication? It's still hard for me to get out of the house a lot of the time!!!!!

Take Note:
*I'm waiting on dissability but it's already been 3 months and had 2 denials but heard they're supposed to accept me soon. Doc agrees.
*No health insurance
*Can't afford even ONE MORE appointment at the doctor's office!
*Next office visit is June
*Only money in bank is for rent and charities are slowly helping me since welfare denied me cash assistance because of being childless!
*On food stamps but they don't pay bills!
*Unemployment denied me because of my inability to work because of my Crohn's!
*Have nobody to help pay for any DOC VISITS that I would need.....

I'm only 23 and Crohn's is ruining my life! I always feel like I'm going to crap myself! Constant bloat and gas! medicine is helping but very slowly!!!!

:depressed:

I can relate to not having insurance and having to deal with a severe case of crohn's . I know it is tough having to figure out about how to make ends meet on a limited budget. I dont know why you are only on one medication. I know there are a lot of people who are on Lialda as a maintenance med. I was on that initially, but was taken off almost immediately due to my crohns being so severe that it did nothing for me. If you are really concerned, I would just call your doctor and ask them the reason. I know my doctor does some things a little differently to try to help manage my crohns and my financial situation. I hope and pray things get better for you.

Pretty soon I won't have a budget at all! It's close to zero! They say mine is mild active.....but obviously severe enough to keep me out of work for a good long time! :O this sucks!!!!!

I understand. I just had to miss 6 weeks due to having surgery after being off 4 weeks 4 months ago for a previous surgery. Things have a way of working out somehow. I had an ileostomy for 3 months, and had to pay for my supplies out of pocket. I know its not easy, but it is doable.
