I'm baaaaack!

It's been a year. The diarrhea never really let up. Neither did the LRQ pain.

I found myself BACK in urgent care after vomiting at work - they pressed on my LRQ and sent me off to ED, where I got a CT scan (normal) but was told to come back in 24/48 hours if things didn't improve my Nuetrophils were high (7.5). So I did, 2 days later. This time WBC was back in normal range, but I got a referral to a different GI than the one I saw last year.

This GI thinks 2 different things are likely going on -- based on last year's CT diagnosis of cecal diverticulitis, then all the "normal" CTs that show NO diverticulosis, she thinks they may have missed appendicitis (joy) and I may have adhesions because of it. Explains the pain.

But not the diarrhea. She wants a repeat colonoscopy to rule out diverticulosis (again) AND to take biopsies to look for microscopic colitis.

ALL THAT TO ASK:
What is the correlation between raised WBC and colitis???
Is getting another colonoscopy really worth it? (I'm leaning toward yes, but - well...)
