I'm been sick 75% of the time this winter

Feeling really frustrated. I'm around two years into Aza + Humira and although it controls my Crohns symptoms - which I'm really grateful for - it's a miserable existence in winter.

I have two small children and they bring bug after bug home from nursery. This winter I have had a cold every single month for 4 months, and each cold lasts around 3 weeks, this latest one turning into a chest infection. Now I have a small graze in my hand turn infected just to top things off. It's a truly miserable winter.

Previously tried coming off the Aza but symptoms come back. When I was on Aza by itself it did nothing - so seem stuck on Aza + Humira.

When I talk to my doc he just says, I have to accept the symptoms if I want to control my Crohns.

Is anyone else stuck in this rut, or anyone have any ideas about what I could try?

I was sick with constant colds, strep throat, oral thrush, yeast infections. My GI finally took me off azathioprine. I'm still on Remicade. I was afraid I might flare, but it's been four weeks now, and nothing so far.
Having small children makes it more difficult. You have to be meticulous about washing your hands or using sanitizer. Do. Not. Touch. Your. Face. You could get a second opinion about coming off. If you're in remission, maybe try it again. It's hard on your body when you're sick all the time. I was exhausted.:ghug:
