I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else...

Crohn's Disease Forum

Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

I didn't get a chance to read your thread as I've been absent for a few days (I'm a caregiver for my grandpa and don't get on here as much as I'd like to). Please feel free to post it again as sometimes (especially on the weekends) this is a really slow moving forum.

Yes, Tummy, please post again. I didn't see your post either. Sometimes it takes a little while to get a reply to a new thread post. I know what I do is skim the titles, and only really read the ones that I particularly relate to. I'm fairly new to the forum and to bowel issues, so there are posts I read but don't reply to as I don't have much experience and can't offer a lot of advice.

Hey fellow Canadian, sorry your post got missed, it is the weekend and March break and alot of people have been absent from here. I know you are hurt but we are a helping and loving bunch, you just have to give us a chance. Sometimes you could have a problem someone may not be able to help because we all have different symptoms and pain and severity. Please come back, just have faith in us.

Sometimes it depends on what time you post too. There are tons of people on here that are located in different areas and time zones. I'm a regular poster on here and even I have to occasionally bump my own threads because I post too late when people are either sleeping or working.

If you stick around, you will find there's a TON of support on here! Sorry you didn't get that first impression. Hope you give us another chance. :)

I am from Canada and was on this week-end and I didn't see the thread either. I agree with everyone else, you have to leave it up for a bit until the discussion gets started...sometimes people don't know what to say, are afraid of saying the wrong thing, don't see it, the list is endless...
it is too bad as there could have been a lot of replies to your question by now... try again

DELETED POST
no replys...
should have expected the same amount of support from strangers that I would get from my family and 'friends'

i think that leaving a post up for less than a day, then deleting it and making this statement, is a little insulting to our members, and this forum in general...

we are proud of the level of support given and received here - day after day we see posts by members who appreciate the help and friendship they find here, so to read your post above is rather upsetting.

the membership numbers are increasing on a daily basis, therefore there are many new posts everytime someone logs in, particularly intros in the Your Story section... there is the time difference factor to consider too - many of the hours your post was up will have been during the night for some of our members, and as has been pointed out, it was weekend too.

if you'd like to post it again, please feel free, and for future reference for anyone who feels their post has been missed, simply post "bump" in the thread, and it will automatically go into the new posts list...

I usually try to post, but I've been having computer trouble the past few days. I am sorry if I've offended anyone by not responding.

i dont think its your fault at all
I think most would search the site in the meantime looking for answers... most of us have waited years for answers.. the person is in for a rude awakening if they are so impatient...
1/2 a day???? I dont think you are expected to sit at the computer 24/7

I agree and this is not nice, we do our best, time to delete it.

I would have deleted the entire post myself but i couldn't figure it out.

I did not join to insult or piss anyone off. I realize i'm not the only one going through horrible health problems.

I do not have a very strong support system and when I came across this forum I was in a very bad place.

Again i'm sorry that i've offended.

Please do share your issue, even if its been resolved by now. We're all still willing to hear and help and it may help others as well who are having a similar if not the same problem.

Only admins have the power to delete threads. That's why you couldn't find the option. Not that it needs to be deleted at this point unless you'd like to make a new thread with your question and then this one can be deleted.

Hi S

... I can relate to getting angry and taking it out on others when in pain - not that it makes it right but glad to see you returned. Please re-post if you are comfortable. If your not comfortable, maybe you could contact the admin and inquire about a new user name.... maybe we can start over...

I hope you are feeling better.
Wendy
