So, Im wondering what does your gi track look like when in remission?? Is there still evidence of CD, or does it completely disappear? I ask because my GI once told me that my CD was gone after I took 4 months of meds....does this mean in remission or does it mean they misdiagnosed me from the start? Just curious to see what your experience with remission is.
Thanks

As far as I know, if you are in remission you have no inflammation or ulcers or stuff like that. Depending on how bad your flare was, you might have scars or narrowing.

I asked my GI that question at my initial apt with him...as I just got out of the hospital I also got a new Primary and lucky for me, in the same office, a new GI. I had a ton of questions as the GI guy I saw before was nice but hard to ask questions. I asked him about a lot of things that I had been thinking about and he said that the state of remission is ...exactly what REBECCA said. lol. he also added if i wanted to get there i would have to take my medicine. he scolded me a bit. but that is ok.

Take your medicine! lol :p

I forgot to mention that yes what Rebecca said is true but you may still experience some symptoms off and on but they will be slight and not often. If they increase then you may need a med check.
