in the hospital :(

hey all. so, i was doing really well for a while since i started on entocort almost 2 months ago. then i had a bad episode that i wrote about on here on tuesday last week at my job interview (good news, tho, i did get offred the job and i am taking it!). since then, i was feeling a bit worn down and flu-ish. then, myu lower right quad pain got so bad yesterday i came into the er for some meds and fluids. they said my white blood cell coutn is up, indicating an infection of some kinds, but they dont know what it is. so, here i am, still in the hospital, pretty much still at square one. they want me to provide a stool sample, but with all the morphine i am taking (thak god for the stuff), it's been the first 24 hours in like a year with no movements! the upside is that this is my first hospital stay since they got internet in the rooms, and i got a private room, which is a big bonus too. so, i guess i will just take this time (hopefully not too much more of it) to relax and heal whatever it is that is ailing me. and sorry if this is a bit incoherent - i am quite doped up and writing in front of a screen across the room from me so i can barely see it! i hope you are all well - i'll write with more on the new job when i'm out and feeling better! now time to try for some artficially induced hospital sleep :)

Congratulations on getting the job:) Hope you get to doing better soon. A lot of hospitals are getting wi-fi now which is a great benefit for patients, especially long-term ones. The hospital I go to doesn't have it yet but I have wireless card with Sprint that works pretty well. Unfortunately, I found out today that I have to go back into the hospital. I saw the surgeon to check my drain and too much is draining out onto the bandage. So I have to go back in for surgery so they can get the drains in the right place. I go in Thurs. morning.

Good news and bad news. Well, thats the way it goes sometimes.

I hope they can get your symptoms under control. What does the new job require of you? Is it what kind of work you were looking for?

hey -
thanks for your kind words, all! i got out of the hospital last night, so that is definitely good. there's only so much wi-fi access can do to make one forget that you are still in the hospital! but, yeah, in good news, i did get the clerkship job i interviewed for, which will be acting as a clerk for a nj family court clerk starting in august. i am super-excited, as it is the exact job i want right now! thanks for all your encouragement, and i hope youre doing well.

Congratulations, I got out of the hospital today. I was only in there two nights this time thank God.

Yeah, I didn't even get on the computer much this time just so bummed out being in there. And it also seemed like a lot of the time, once I got situated and comfortable in the bed with the computer on my lap, I'd have to get up and go to the restroom.

Glad to hear you got the job! Let's hope the flare settles down and you can forge out into the new job.

Great job on the Job!!! I know from experience how hard it is to go into one with flare ups, (sometimes the stress of a new job causes it) Keep positive and Good Luck
