Man it's amazing how many people are getting diagnosed with IBD. I just got back from a store that supplies my music equipment, and found out one of the salesmen just had a resection. He even has my doctor. We spent an hour complaining to eachother. I guess it was theraputic.:ybatty: Then I got home and opened my newspaper to find the front page article about adolescent crohns. Poor little kids... If I ever win the lottery, or come into some serious cash somehow I am definitely spending all of it helping out kids with IBD. It's hard enough dealing when your an adult, I can't Imagine being 10 years old, and having to explain to your friends why you have to go to the bathroom 50 times a day.:(

That sure would have been a surprise for me! What newspaper had the story in it? Is it a local paper and do they have the article online?

I have met others who have the same doctor as me (with Crohn's Disease aswell) and it is a funny experience.

Me and my girlfriend go to the same practice. And the Dr she has, always is on call and sees me in the hospital. She says she wishes she had my Dr though because "he cares".

Off topic but I would like to say that if I die young, or from Crohns, or complications, I would like to donate my digestive system to the NIH(National Institute of Health) or National Kidney, Urology, and Digestive Disease Center(I believe its called). I just think they'd be amazed at what my body has gone through in such a short time.

There was a Remicade 'Failure' Clinical Trial which I called about that was listed on a GOVERNMENT website, and the 1-800 number they listed was for ABBOT, which makes Humira, Not remicade, but they still had the number I needed, and also asked if I would be interested in THEIR clinical trial, in which case you still must be a Remicade 'Failure' (I was not really a failure, but I did flare while on it, so I was taken off, so me and my dr can make that a failure)
