Infections? have you ever had one?

A few months ago I was on a course of Entocort, this was followed by starting
Cimzia. I have had week zero and week two. It took awhile for my Ins Co to approve it. No big surprise there. So there was a gap between meds and I was untreated foe about 4weeks.

The problem is I have added a few more symptoms and my Dr thinks I now
have an infection. I have never had an infection associated with CD before.

Has anyone experienced this before and were you on a biologic medication
that lowered your immune system? It's possible to just use oral antibiotics

My son currently has an infection from bug bite, he is on remicade and started oral antibiotics yesterday. He also had his infusion yesterday. The GI also prescribed VSL3 along with antibiotics since last summer when he had to take antibiotics for another skin infection he developed c-diff.
