Hi! I have had symptoms of inflammatory bowel for 4 years now...I have a LONG thread in the Undiagnosised Club. Just had an IBD panel done. The blood work showed elevated SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE IGG, elevated IBD PANCA AUTO AB and elevated VEGF. Also have ATG16L1 Homozygous G/G mutation and ECM1 Heterozygous C/T mutation. My GI doc and lab results state "Pattern consistent with IBD. Inconclusive for Crohn's Disease vs Uclerative Colitis". I have a pill cam scheduled for Jan 16th and the doc said we will hopefully find out which then. Has anyone else experienced this before or have had these labs performed and understand them? Thanks a bunch!

Is this the new Prometheus panel? I had the old one done that was serology (antibodies) only and got a "results consistent with IBD: Crohns disease." But then nothing else ever showed up in any other test. Lol that's probably not what you wanted to hear. Maybe their new test is more reliable. Best wishes!

Sorry Ash - not familiar with the Promotheus panel (gosh that is embarrasing to say as a CD patient AND a nurse!! :$ ) - but hopefully the pill cam on the 16h will show something....

Best wishes for now (now I gotta go research this stuff!!! :$ ) and Squishy hugs from The Moon. :)

Haha thats funny you say that because I'm a nurse too!! My new GI doc is the first one to run the test on me...too funny. Well I swallow to pill cam tomorrow. I hope I can actually swallow it. Im really nervous and hope I actually get a better diagnosis but as I can see on here that can take awhile! Its been four years with symptoms so far. Thanks for the advise!
