Hi everyone.

Well, i had my first Infliximab on Monday. Got there about 9am and got home about 3pm so it was quite a day.

The infusion itself was fine - obviously no one likes needles and having a canular in isn't pleasant, but it wasn't realy painful. When the infusion begun to go in it felt cold and unpleasant and stung a bit inside my arm but it didn't last long and then it was just a case of waiting. They gave me the infusion over two hours and I didn't have any benadryl or any other meds with it.

The good news is I didn't get any side effects at all and felt fine the whole way through and I still feel fine now. It was all rather uneventful!

Since Monday the rectal bleeding I've been having, well, forever, seems to have stopped, and my stomach problems seem to have settled down too. I haven't examined myself yet to see if there's been any noticable healing - I'm too scared - but I'm hoping these are signs that after a couple more infusions I will start to heal.

So yeah, anyone waiting for their first dose of Inflix, don't be scared :)

I just had a poke around and I'm *pretty* sure I can tell a difference in healing compared to before :D it feels less deep, it feels like a little island is growing in the crater and it's filling in. I could be wrong (it's certainly possible) but I think thid stuff is working :)

I cant wait for my next infusion! Hook me up to that IV nurse!

Good news Hannah!!! I am so happy you are doing well so far, fingers crossed that you go all the way
