insomnia
For the past month or so at least I've been having insomnia, I'm attributing it to the Prednisone. Generally the only side effects I've had from it have been having to pee a lot and an obscene amount of sweating.
At first I thought it was just because I was having to get up to use the washroom at night, but I cleared that hurdle a few weeks ago. Currently I'm at 40mg of pred that I take in the morning.
And every night it's the same. I go to bed around 10:30-11 like I have been for a couple of years. And I either lie there for a few hours or I wake up between 1am and 3am, stay awake for 45 minutes or so. Then fall back a sleep and then wake up around 5, up for about half an hour then fall back asleep.
Earlier this week I took everything I could that would make me sleepy (OTC sleeping aids, prescription painkillers, some semi-legal smokables). And it was the same deal, up at 1 awake for awhile then up again around 5.
The only decent night's sleep I've had has been in the hospital when they had put prescription sleeping pills on my roster of meds.
Has anyone else had this issue, or have any tips? My next stop is heading in for a prescription, but I want to avoid that.
