Ever since my first resection (ive had four) i feel my intestines actually moving, and i see them under my abdomen moving, contorting, i imagine they are pushing the food along, non painful mind you but at night i never get any sleep cause its especially active then. the ct scans show nothing so, they gave me Zoplicone 7.5mg@night (a tranquilizer). sure, It helps me reach a deep sleep when i do eventually fall asleep though it does not put me to sleep and does nothing to settle my gut. Anyone else feel your guts contracting 24/7?

ps: (the only thing that helps is if i fast for 24 hours, then the intestines stop twisting and i feel normal, but as soon as i eat anything even small like a pea or grape it acts up again).

Aha... I knew I mustn't be alone... My docs think I'm nuts!
It looks like I have something trying to escape somtimes, like when a baby kicks from inside... Does that make sense?... I don't do anything about it, watch it, laugh at it, sometimes it gets annoying but i find if i press on it it moves elsewhere and feels better :)
Can you see your tummy beating wih your heart? I think theres an artery runs down the centre of your abdomen and I can see that 'pumping' sometimes too :)

yo, thats exactly what it feels like.. like a fist punching out from the inside.. or a baby kicking.. trying to escape... everyday like clock work.

at night it keeps me up.. so i just lay there and watch it move.. if i press on it it feels a tiny bit better but it doesnt stop or move elsewhere.

the doctors xrayed me, colonoscopied me and found nothing to explain it or treat it.

so they gave me zopiclone to help me sleep. but that doesnt stop it.

if i skip breakfast, lunch and dinner - and not eat anything, not even a pea or juice, then it stops in the evening and i can finally sleep.
