The article above states that Crohn's in children often begins with a cough and mild inflammation of the lungs and throat.
In December 2011, I caught some kind of chest infection (never found out what it was as my GP just gave me antibiotics) which left me with a bad hacking cough that I had for months and months. I still had it up to June 2012. It was so bad that I actually fractured two ribs from the coughing and was in pretty serious pain. GPs didn't seem able to identify it.
In September 2012, I started to show symptoms of Crohn's disease. I wonder if the two are linked?
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
