Not sure if this is where is should post this, but I found this while doing research the other day.

High intake of sugar increases the risk of Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis.

And this...
Candida Albicans and its toxins can infiltrate and effect any organ or system in the body and can be responsible for a large variety of physical and mental health conditions that we see so commonly in people today. Most people are unaware that it may be the cause of their arthritis, headaches, migraines, anxiety, depression, aggression, mood swings, fatigue, sore throats, gas, bloating, persistent cough, irritable bowel syndrome, hyperactivity, memory problems, attention deficit, cold sores, eczema, hormonal fluctuations, menstrual difficulties, inability to lose weight, Crohns, Prostatitis Autism and much, much more.

Anyone hear of a link between sugar and Crohns before?

I read it somewhere ages ago, don't know where though but didn't pay too much attention to it as there are many theories about many illnesses that aren't scientifically proven. I agree with point 21 that too much sugar causes tooth decay but apart from that the rest has to be taken as hearsay as there are no references in either article.

I shall have to glance through them at some stage to see what they say, if they are good quality and therefore a reliable source before I make a judgement

After a quick glance many of the references are dated past 2002 therefore they have to be interpreted with caution. Articles over 10 years old have to be questioned regarding theire validity and reliability due to more rigorous and up to date research being available.

Precaution of references refering to humans also have to be taken when the research does not include human beings. 146. Rogers AE, Nields HM, Newberne PM. “Nutritional and Dietary Influences on Liver Tumorigenesis in Mice and Rats. Arch Toxicol Suppl. 1987;10:231-43.

That said I do believe that refined sugar in large quantities is not good for you. All i'm saying is you can't believe everything you read and you also have to be very cautious when these websites are trying to sell products.
