i have felt good since being put on meds. pentasa 500mg 8 times a day and prednisone 40mg a day. just a little pain from eating in the begining. on monday my Dr. told me to cut down on prednisone by 5mg a week. so for the last three days i've taken 35 mg.

Now today im at work. and the stomach pain that put me in the hospital is back. not as bad. but enough to let you know its there. and sometimes i feel like i could throw up.

Im wondering if this is because my body wasn't ready to come down on the prednisone or if this is another flare in the making?

thanks for any help. getting alittle worried.

Call your doctor Ninja and let him know what is going on....My doctor always wants me to call if feel like I am getting sicker.

I agree buddy - give them a call. I know sometimes for me when I feel nausea (because it isn't a common thing) when I know I have an active ulcer somewhere - I think I get nauseous when stuff passes by that area. Don't know if that makes sense, just something I've observed over the years.

Yup, I'd call but don't be too worried. I've had the odd bad patch while on pred but but always seems to pass quickly. I except we will always have dodgy insides, even when they are not inflamed!

Hiya Lilninja
I've been on 40mg Pred for 4 weeks, and this week reduced to 35mg, 30mg next week and so on.
This week I feel really jittery, wired and a little bit sick too, but not thrown up.
Maybe it's just the side effects of tapering?
And like you, I thought Oh God No! the pain that put me in hospital came back on wed, but it's gone now!
Looks like we're at the same level with our meds, keep in touch, we'll compare side effects!
lotsa luv
