Hey all, I am fairly new to this site, but I have lurked around for about 2 months, and you all really know your stuff! Okay, but onto my question.

On the night before thanksgiving, I splurged and had a piece of pizza, which, according to my low residue diet, should be totally fine right? wrong. I felt really crappy, but it eventually passed. So, the next day was thanksgiving, and I ate really well (like I always do), but everyone was wondering why I didnt have desert... so, I took a smallish piece of chocolate cake and ate it. This is where my problems start. I have began to have really loose poos and more often than not, there is blood in them. This hasnt happened since august when I was diagnosed. Is this a flare up, or something much more dire?

~Currrently on asacol, 20mg pred, remicade (I am in the club lawl), Theraputic doses of iron.

Any help would be really appreciated :)

Whenever you have blood in your stools, always contact your doctor!
It could very well be a flare up, but there's a list of other bad things it could be,
and your GI should know.

Its light red. I think its cause I was put on a lower dose recently, and I hadn't changed my eating habits to reflect that... and Its the end of my remicade treatment, so thats probably a factor too.

The doc will be informed, and other than that, I am doing great. Full remission since october... well, until now.
