After a 60 hour work week I was ready to take a nice weekend brake...but life has always different plans.
I am currently tapering down cortisone so that I can start aza. I was taking 30mg of prednisone daily, went to 25mg and now to 20mg. The tapering is done really slowly (every ten days) and together with blood tests. My most recent blood test that I did three days ago was excellent. CRP levels totally normal.
Yesterday I started running a fever of 102 degrees(38.8 celcius). I had literally no other syptoms ( no cough, no running nose, no pain nothing). The fever started at 2 pm and went till 4am. Around 4am i started sweating and fever went away. At 7 went to the bathroom and had loose stools (no blood). When I stood up from the toilet i started feeling dizzy, vision got blurry, called my wife and I think i might have fainted for 4-5 seconds. She gave me water and from that moment I feel good with no problems. My question is if this situation is Crohn's related or maybe just the flu. I know that nobody knows for sure but I would like your input if you have experienced anything like this.
Thank you for your support.
